Welcome! You are going to view an interesting, interactive, effective and comprehensive learning tool for students from Standard 1 to Form 5 in Malaysia called the Focus A Programme. Read on to find out how it actually benefits students.

Focus A programme is a learning tool based on the latest method of study that is via online. The computer age is no longer the thing in the future but NOW. Focus A is the most complete E-learning program in Malaysia today with both input and output learning features which incorporates multimedia lessons with teachers voiceover for every topic covered.

The program is developed by Creative Dreams International Sdn Bhd, a locally owned company which understands the local syllabus. All objective and subjective exercises are included and of course the voice over by teachers stimulates the learning process from not only to visual but also audio; it's like attending class/tuition in pyjamas.

The program was freshly launched in 21 Jan 2010 but we promise to deliver the best E-learning program for students to boost their scoring potential in exams.

Above are the subject offered for each level and all subjects are covered excluding Religious and Moral Education (Pendidikan Agama & Pendidikan Moral).

These are the features that makes Focus A such a complete and interactive program. The unique features are Web-Tutor, Web-Editor, Web-Topics, Web-Assessment, Web-Trial Exam, Web-Past Year Questions, Web-Report Card / SMS, Web-Schema, Live Chat and Forum.

We include Paper 2 in the assessments/exam papers where all answer will received and marked by teachers. Very soon the program shall have a Web Dictionary and Web Library. Web Library offers free viewing access to any online books in the Worldwide Library. This is an advantage to students where they need reference to school projects, assignments or simply to enhance their composition skills.

The website where the students need to log in is www.focusa.com.my

An ID and password will be provided and they can start their learning or revision immediately. All activities are recorded in the Web Report Card so they can always go back to their previous exercises or refer to the Web Notes how ever many times they want.

This is how the students main page will look like. Every tab will bring the student to different sections of the program. It is user friendly even for a 7 year old.

Each topic has complete Web Notes. The notes are colourful, to enhance memory retention, diagram, complete with illustration, flow charts and etc. In Web Tutor, every topic is complete with voice over of teachers, explaining the topic. These notes can be viewed as many times a students wishes which is about 3 to 7 minutes per topic.

Meanwhile, if a students does not understands or wants to ask a question, he or she can submit questions regarding the topic through the Web Editor.

In Web Topic, a student will go through a series of questions according to the topic.

When the questions are answered for the objective questions, instantly the system will mark the question and will respond with motivational words such as 'good', 'excellent' and 'well done' complete with the audio. Every wrong answer though will be responded with 'wrong answer please try again', whereby they can attempt up to 3 times but their marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Beside every question of the topic, Web Notes icon can be seen where students can click and assess the Web Notes, in case they want to refer to it or don't know how to solve the question.

Web Assessment is a section whereby a student will be assessed on their skills on a few previous topics in a subjects (they must go through the necessary topics before arriving to the Web Assessment). They will need to start from the easy level and score an A (80 marks) before being able to open the next level. This is where we are disciplining students to getting used to scoring A's and they can start from the easy level before going to the harder level, just like playing computer games. The other wonderful part is, students can compete to be in the top scoring students nationwide which will appear in the website.

In Web Past Year Exam, a student can assess to past year exam papers of not less than 10 years and may come across questions that may repeat this year. It is also for them to get used to the format and avoid exam hall panic. In Web Trial exams, teachers with experience preparing national exam papers will also prepare the questions. Students will sit for the annual trial exams before the actual national exam (UPSR/PMR/SPM) on a prescheduled time in order to be listed in the nation honours list. Don't be surprised, your child can also get away with cash prizes by the end of the year for their excellent results.
Forum is an interactive feature where they can post a question and get responds from other students, the online teachers as well as parents. They can enter a forum and only read the discussion or also offer their opinion, answers and ideas.

We also have Chat sessions. A teacher will announce a time and date he or she will be online in a particular chatroom to discuss a particular topic. To participate, a student shall on the designated time log on and enter the chatroom. He or she can choose to only view the discussion or participate with answers and questions.

This is how the chatroom would look like.

All exercises done in the Web Topic, Web Assessment, Web Past Year Exam, Web Trial Exams will be submitted to the Web Report Card and can be assessed by both students and parents. A parent may choose to have the results submitted to their mobile phones via SMS. When 'View Results' on the right hand side is clicked....

...a detailed report of the exercise can be viewed which includes the answer given and the correct answer. The time that it was taken is also shown.

For a comprehensive program for UPSR, PMR and SPM it comes with a very astounding price for only RM795 for a 12 months subscription and covers ALL subjects. The program is free for the second child to use and consecutive siblings will only need to pay an extra RM50 to use the program. Each children will have an individual ID and password to access their very own school levels. For only 2 children, it only costs RM33 per child per month after the breakdown which is not only affordable but cheaper than tuition centres or private tutors. It's interactive and it's fun. At some point, students can get bored with books and learning through computers will make them motivated to study. For once they will give more attention to their education simply because it is made fun!
